The Third Trimester. Weeks 29-40.

Many a Derby Day you’ve probably heard the announcer yell excitedly as the thoroughbreds make their way down the homestretch. If pregnancy is your run for the roses, then making it through the third trimester can indeed be considered coming down the homestretch. Just when you think you’ve gotten the hang of this pregnancy stuff, it’s practically over and it’s time to start planning for life with your new baby. And just as a well-prepared racehorse stamps at the gate, you are probably a little nervous, but also anxious to move things along. Now is the time to put the finishing touches on your preparations, so you can enjoy your own moment in the winner’s circle—when you finally hold your newborn baby in your arms.
